10.1.11-10.3.11  While Kylie was at girl scout camp and Zach was home with Grandma Salisbury, we took advantage of some great airfares and jetted off to San Francisco for a quick weekend jaunt!  We had  a wonderful time and experienced a lot of fun things!  We found our hotel, Le Meridien, on hotwire for a smokin' deal for both nights.  It was in the financial district of downtown San Francisco and we found it to be within walking distance of most everything we needed.  Great location!

9.30.11-10.2.11  Kylie and her girl scout troop went to fall encampment weekend at Camp River Ranch.  They have been to this camp before so the grounds are somewhat familiar except this camp was all indoors!  Yay!  They had a kitchen, flush toilets (no biffy's this time), and heat!  Such a luxury.  It was dormitory style with bunk beds upstairs and downstairs in a long rectangular room.  The problem was when some people stayed up too late talking, giggling, passing notes and using flashlights, it was a little bothersome to others.  And no, Kylie wasn't one of those staying up late. : )  They sewed fleece pajama bottoms which was a fun thing for them to do.  They didn't have any outside time which was too bad since 20 girls inside for 36 hours was a little much for all of them.  They all came home in one piece but still......next time a hike will be in order.

9.24.11  It was a great sunny day for soccer!  We didn't have any subs this game so the girls were very hot and tired but we played so well.  Kylie actually scored 2 goals in this game and they won 3-1.  They played with such great heart and passed the ball excellent.  Great win and great teamwork girls!
